The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a government scheme designed to support households in the move away from fossil fuels for heating and towards renewable energy sources. The RHI was introduced for non-domestic properties in November 2011 and is the first tariff scheme of its kind in the world for renewable heat. The long awaited domestic RHI scheme launched in full on 9th April 2014.
