• Domestic RHI Tariff Table – 2018

The domestic RHI pays owners of renewable heating systems. Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive tariffs are currently set at the levels below. There was no degression announced for the first quarter of 2018 so the following tariffs will apply at least until 31st March 2018.

    Technology Tariff
    Biomass Boilers 6.54 p/kWh
    Solar Thermal 20.86 p/kWh
Air Source Heat Pumps 10.18 p/kWh
Ground Source Heat Pumps 19.86 p/kWh

The support under RHI domestic is set at a level designed to compensate for the difference between the cost of installing and operating renewable heating systems and fossil fuel eg. gas fired systems, including non-financial costs such as disruption, on the basis of 20 years of heat produced. The fossil fuel costs used for this purpose are those faced by households off the gas grid.
