This video from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows a progressive and worrying decline in older, more established ice in the Arctic.
The decline in multi-year, thick ice in the Arctic ice pack can clearly be seen in the video which covers the period from 1987 to October 2013. Today, very little old ice remains with more and more of the ice pack made up of thinner, younger ice.
